The SENDoc virtual conference entitled Health Challenges and COVID: Enabling Monitoring, Exercise and Rehabilitation using Wearables is going to be a two part webinar series happening on the 15th and 17th December 2020 from 12:30-14:00 GMT each day.
Introducing wearables to the healthcare sector is vital to ensure remote accessibility to health and rehabilitation services, aiding in the decrease of geographical healthcare differences currently present. In this two-part webinar series, the SENDoc team present findings from 3 years of transnational research on monitoring, exercise, and rehabilitation using wearable sensors. The webinar series will cover state of the art sensing techniques for Rehabilitation, Parkinson’s Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and falls prediction, amongst others, examining the results from clinical trials preformed during the project and discussing the problems currently blocking widespread adoption. The webinars include Panel Sessions where clinicians, physiotherapists, technicians, funders and wearable companies will discuss challenges and opportunities for the wearable industry and its users in the current COVID climate.
